Summit Is Open For Business And It’s Training As Usual

Durban, South Africa, 25 March 2020 – Summit, South Africa’s innovative training and skills development provider, has announced its plans to make all of its SETA-accredited courses available for online training. This means that companies can continue to upskill staff in order to maximise the downtime during the Covid-19 lockdown period.

Amidst the announcement from President Cyril Rhamaphosa on Monday, 23 March the onus is upon every business to implement extreme measures to keep productivity levels as high as possible to ensure continuity and job security. One such measure which the leadership team from Summit is offering is the use of its progressive online learning platform.

With the announcement, companies are encouraged to use the relative downtime to upskill employees. This has the added benefit of companies meeting their Skills Development expenditure targets which are still a business requirement and very much in place.

“In addition to hosting our SETA-accredited courses online, we will also be offering all programmes in recognition of prior learning (RPL) format, especially Generic Management. This provides learners who currently hold managerial positions with the unique opportunity to obtain a qualification which may not have been as easy or efficient before,” responds Summit MD, Matthew Lambert.

As educators, Summit is committed to assisting its valued industry partners and clients to achieve their own targets as easily as possible. We are open for business and our facilitators are available for training via the online platform – which also allows the learner to write assignments and upload portfolios in real-time. This allows for less resistance to feedback and quicker generation of results.

“Our team is equipped to respond to any obstacle we are faced with. To echo the sentiments of our President, we will prevail as long as we stand together because together, we are stronger,” says Matthew Lambert.
