Training Venue Accreditation

The Application Process

The process of becoming an accredited training venue begins with an online application. Once submitted, a site visit is conducted to evaluate the venue’s suitability. The outcome of this evaluation is then issued along with a QCTO accreditation number and logo.

Key Requirements

Training departments and providers must provide the following information:

  • Name and address of the Skills Development Provider (SDP) or Assessment Centre (AC).
  • Copy of the accreditation letter for the qualification or skills programme.
  • Details of the new venue, including contact person and expected training period.
  • Valid Health and Safety (HOS) reports.
  • Total number of learners and available equipment to ensure compliance with curriculum requirements.

Training at the new venue can only commence after receiving written permission from the QCTO.

Assessment Centre Accreditation

Who Can Be Accredited?

Entities eligible for accreditation as assessment centres include:

  • Trade Test Centres
  • Workplace Skills Providers
  • Education and Training Institutions
  • Professional Bodies

The Application Process

The accreditation process for assessment centres involves several steps:

  1. Submission of an online application.
  2. Evaluation by the relevant Assessment Quality Partner (AQP), including site visits.
  3. Recommendation to the QCTO for further processing.
  4. Issuance of the formal accreditation outcome.

Accreditation is valid for five years, during which the centre must maintain the standards demonstrated during the accreditation process.
